AI Tutors (Chat Agents) are conversational AI assistants your professor has configured specifically for your course. They are trained on your course materials and designed to help you learn — not just give you answers.
Starting a Chat
- Go to your course and click Chat Agents.
- Select the agent you want to talk to.
- Type your question and press Enter or click Send.
What You Can Ask
- Explanations of concepts from lecture or assigned readings
- Help understanding a tricky section of the material
- Practice questions and worked examples
- Summaries of chapters or topics
- Definitions and clarifications of key terms
Cited Responses
The tutor cites sources from your course materials when answering. Click any citation to jump directly to the relevant section of the document in the Document Reader.
Conversation History
Your chat history is saved automatically. Continue a previous conversation or start a new thread at any time. Previous threads appear in the left panel of the chat interface.
Tips for Better Results
- Be specific — "Explain the difference between TCP and UDP" gets a better answer than "explain networking"
- Share context — "I'm confused about the diagram on slide 12 of last week's lecture"
- Ask follow-up questions to explore any topic in more depth
