Resources are the files, links, and documents that make up your course materials. ScholarStack automatically processes them so they can be searched by AI tutors.
Supported File Types
- Documents — PDF, Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), Excel (.xlsx)
- Text files — plain text, markdown
- Images — PNG, JPG, HEIC
- Video and audio — MP4, MP3, and other common formats
- Links — paste any URL to add a web resource
Uploading Resources
- Go to Dashboard → Resources and click Upload.
- Drag and drop files or click to browse. Multiple files can be uploaded at once.
- ScholarStack processes files automatically — converting PDFs to searchable text, extracting images, and generating summaries and keywords.
- Processed resources show status Ready and are available for AI search.
Processing States
- Uploading — file is being transferred to ScholarStack
- Processing — content is being analyzed, converted, and indexed
- Ready — resource is fully indexed and searchable by AI agents
- Failed — processing encountered an error (try re-uploading)
Organizing Resources
Create collections (folders) to group related resources. Assign resources to specific modules within a course for structured student access. Filter by course, category, or chat agent assignment.
